Outside Lands: The Lineup

If you’re unaware as to what Outside Lands is, you really need to get out more, but nonetheless, it’s a gigantic music festival (over 65,000 concertgoers) that takes place in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, California. The festival takes place over three days, August 7-9, and features some of the biggest names in music. This year is going to be my first time going to Outside Lands, or even San Francisco for that matter, and I could not be more excited. The lineup goes as follows:

WITH MORE BEING ADDED AS THE CONCERT GETS CLOSER.

My trip is going to span from August 6th-11th so it’s going to be a rather fast trip. We’ll leave August 6th as early as possible, and make the 8 hour drive from San Diego up to San Francisco. I can’t wait to see the Golden Gate Bridge, it’s been on my bucketlist for quiet some time. Now, we’re driving so we’ll just have to pay for gas which is much more cost efficient than flying up there.

Hotels are going to be a little more tricky, especially because they’ll need to be booked far in advance to get a decent deal during that weekend. However, everyone knows that San Francisco is one of the most expensive cities to vacation in, in the country. The cheapest hotels I can even begin to find, that are decent enough to stay four nights in, all start at $150 a night. I usually never book hotels more than $100 a night but it looks like I’m going to have to make an exception on this trip.

From what I hear, San Francisco is magical. The second your eyes hit that Golden Gate Bridge it’s something that’ll never be forgotten. I can’t wait to submerge myself in that city, walk the streets with the locals, and sip cappuccinos at a local coffee shop, not to mention have the experience of a lifetime at Outside Lands.
